Chemehuevi Indian Tribe Is Proud!

Return To Press Room

The Chemehuevi Indian Tribe is proud to announce that member Manfred P. Muecke has broken historic new ground, passing the difficult California State Bar Exam and becoming the first Chemehuevi tribal member to be a fully licensed practicing attorney.

Manfred received his Juris Doctor degree from the prestigious University of San Diego School of Law and was officially admitted to California State Bar in December of 2002. Manfred’s legal coursework included an emphasis in Corporate Transactions and Securities.

A gifted scholar, Manfred earned an $11,000 grant and a Fellowship from the American Indian Graduate Center, a renowned post-secondary education program created to assist American Indian college graduates in continuing their education at the master's, doctorate and professional degree level. Manfred also proudly served as President of the USD Intellectual Property Law Association in 2001-2002.

All of the members of the Chemehuevi family would like to extend Manfred a hearty “congratulations” and our sincerest best wishes for the future.
